Your documents stay yours
The TruPDF SDK runs in your application, in your users’ browsers. Documents opened in the viewer are not uploaded to TruenoTech. Rendering, annotation, form fill, OCR, redaction, and signing all happen client-side or against infrastructure that you host.
AI features
When you enable the AI panel, document excerpts and page images are sent directly to the model provider you configure (Anthropic, Google Gemini, an OpenAI-compatible gateway, or your own on-premise server) — either from the browser or through your own proxy. TruenoTech never receives, proxies, stores, or trains on your prompts or documents. The SDK also offers a prompt-check hook so you can scrub sensitive data before anything leaves your application, and a local (IndexedDB) result cache that stays on the user’s device.
What we collect
- Trial & sales enquiries — name, company, email, and the details you submit through the signup form, used to issue licenses and respond to you.
- License heartbeats — trial and standard paid tokens periodically confirm liveness and revocation status with our license service. Heartbeats carry the license identity and origin domain — never document content, and never usage metering. Enterprise offline tokens send no outbound traffic at all.
- Website analytics — this website uses Google Tag Manager to measure aggregate traffic. Your browser settings and consent choices control these cookies.
- Preferences — theme, accent, and motion choices are stored in your browser’s localStorage only and are never transmitted to us.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not receive or store the documents processed by the SDK.
- We do not meter or profile individual end users of your application.
Retention
Lead and licensing records are kept for as long as needed to operate the license relationship and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion of your enquiry data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are announced on this page with a new “last updated” date.
